A six-week experience with Hilary Mae
Home for
the Holidays
You don't have to dread the holidays.
November 9 – December 22, 2026
A familiar story
You pull into her driveway. The porch light is already on. Through the window you can see the glow of the kitchen — candles maybe, or the stove. You sit in the car for just a moment longer than you need to.
You bought the gift she actually wanted. You rehearsed the things you would not say. You made a quiet decision on the drive over: this year will be different. You will not take the bait. You will not freeze. You will not leave feeling like a stranger in your own family.
And then — twenty minutes in, over something small, something you cannot even explain later — it happens again. The comment that lands sideways. The silence that grows teeth. The dinner that ends with everyone pretending nothing happened, and you lying awake that night, heart aching, asking yourself the same question you have been asking for years.
Why can't I get this right?
The holidays don't create the distance between you and your daughter. They just make it impossible to look away from.
What's really happening
You have been bracing for this.
Telling yourself it will be fine this year. Hoping she'll be different, or that you will somehow manage to stay calm when she isn't.
But bracing is not the same as preparing. And hoping is not the same as healing.
Home for the Holidays is six weeks of doing something different — before you walk through that door, while you're there, and after you drive home.

What you'll learn
Six weeks. One holiday season.
A different way through.
Before you can change anything, you need to understand what is actually happening inside you — not just in her. This week you learn to recognize your own nervous system patterns, the old triggers you carry into every gathering, and why your body starts bracing weeks before you ever arrive.
Your tone, your timing, and the way you enter a conversation matter more than you think. This week you learn to speak in a way that opens the door instead of closing it — and how to stay regulated enough to mean what you say and say what you mean.
Live group call with HilaryHow to hold your ground without losing the relationship. What it means to set a limit from love instead of fear — and why that difference is something your daughter can feel even when nothing is spoken out loud.
This week is about the moment things go sideways — because they might. You learn how to stay present when you want to shut down, how to repair without collapsing, and how to move through rupture without making it mean something that isn't true.
Live group call with HilaryThe holidays are not one day — they are a season. This week you build the practices that help you stay steady through the whole stretch: the gatherings, the expectations, the quiet moments that land harder than the loud ones.
The season doesn't end when the decorations come down. This final week is about integrating what changed, understanding what to release, and carrying the steadiness you built into the new year — and into every season after this one.

Here is what is inside.

01
Two live group calls with Hilary
On Weeks 2 and 6, Hilary hosts a live group call for the whole community — teaching, holding space, and going deeper on what the week stirred up. These are not individual coaching sessions. They are a room where you get to hear yourself and each other. Replays included.
-
02
Five pre-recorded lessons plus a final integration session
One lesson each week for five weeks, delivered so you can move through it at your own pace. Each module builds on the last so that by the time the holidays arrive, you have a complete emotional toolkit.
-
03
One companion workbook
A single, beautifully designed workbook that travels with you through the entire program. This is where you do the real work — the reflection, the writing, the moments of honesty that don't have anywhere else to go.
-
04
A private Telegram community
Opens before the program begins — so you are not waiting alone. From day one, you have a place to land, women who understand exactly what you are carrying, and Hilary checking in throughout the season.

05
A preparation experience
Before Week 1 begins, you will receive an audio message from Hilary and a set of reflection prompts. A quiet way to arrive — already a little more ready than you were.
"I didn't realize how much of my anxiety was about the holidays until I started doing this work. By the time we got to Thanksgiving, I felt like I had a ground under me that I'd never had before."
— A MOTHER OF TWO ADULT DAUGHTERS
What becomes possible
By the time the season arrives
By the time the season ends, this is what has changed.
What you feel
Steady in your own body — not because the relationship is fixed, but because you are no longer at the mercy of it. You know what is happening inside you and you know what to do with it.
What you avoid
The conversation you replay for weeks afterward. The moment you said too much, reached too hard, and felt her pull back. The January that starts with the same quiet grief as the December before it.
What you do differently
You pause before you speak. You catch yourself reaching from anxiety and choose steadiness instead. When something breaks, you know how to repair it without collapsing. You leave the gathering feeling like yourself.
What you sit with more easily
The uncertainty of not knowing how she will show up. The silence that used to feel like rejection. The imperfect conversation that didn't spiral into something worse.
How it feels differently with her
You cannot promise she will change. But when you show up steadier, softer, less reactive — she feels it. Not always in words. In the way the room feels. In the way the conversation opens instead of closes.
What women say
"I came in thinking I just needed better communication skills. I left with a completely different understanding of myself. Hilary has a way of making the hardest things feel workable."
— Mother, Age 58
"This wasn't therapy and it wasn't a lecture series. It was something I hadn't found anywhere else. I felt like I was finally in the room with someone who understood exactly what I was living."
— Mother of an Adult Daughter
"I used to dread the holidays. This year I'm actually looking forward to them — not because everything is perfect, but because I feel ready."
— Member, Home for the Holidays

Meet Hilary
Hilary Mae
Hilary Mae is a relationship specialist who has spent her career in the quiet, difficult space between mothers and daughters — helping women repair what feels broken, soften what has hardened, and build something new on the other side of years of distance.
Over 12,000 women have moved through her programs, resources, and coaching. Her work has been featured in Business Insider, Vox, and Everymom. She presented the first course on the mother-daughter relationship at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium in 2024.
She knows this territory from the inside. And she built Home for the Holidays because she believes the season doesn't have to be something you survive. It can be something you move through with your whole self intact.
Questions
What if I can't attend the live calls?
Both live group calls are recorded. You'll have access to the replays throughout the program so you can watch at your own pace.
Do I need to be in an active conflict with my daughter to join?
Not at all. Many women who join are not in crisis — they simply want the holidays to feel different. Whether you're navigating estrangement, low-grade tension, or just the wish for something warmer, this program meets you where you are.
What is Pay What Feels Right?
It means you choose your own investment. There is a minimum in the checkout, and no maximum. You know your life and your resources better than anyone. Choose the number that feels true.
Is this therapy?
No. Home for the Holidays is a coaching and education program. Hilary is a licensed professional counselor, but this is not a clinical service and does not replace therapy. It is a supported learning experience for women who want to show up differently this season.
I don't know if my daughter is interested in repair. Is this still for me?
Yes. This entire program is designed for the mother — you don't need your daughter in the room, on board, or even aware. You do the work on your side, and it changes the dynamic whether she participates or not.
Come home.
The holidays are coming. You already know how you want them to feel.
This is the work that gets you there.
